Is there nothing you can do? Did she do something bad? No way you can talk them out of their decision. No where you can take him? Is no one there trying to help Piney? My heart just goes out to him. What about Alex coming to your house?
We're trying to figure all that out, patsijean. She didn't do anything wrong, but no, I don't think there's any talking them out of it. And we can't take him anywhere else because no one's gonna accept an aggressive dog they don't already know. The other people there are supersweet, but Alex was his special friend.
I am so sorry I want to cry for him. I feel guilty that Lucy the Beagle, whom we were fostering found herself a loving home, with kids and another dog and parents who are crazy about her. She is going camping for the first time this weekend. Scott, her new dad, wonders how she will enjoy swimming, and I think she may just go for it. Her new home, about 5 months now, is truly the best place for her.
I so wish that Piney's life were easier for him. He is so lucky to have you.
When Piney came to live with us, we didn't know that within a couple of years he would flourish into the allergic-to-everything, IBD-having, aggressive-to-strangers little hellhound that he is today. He enjoys fetch, chewing and meat. His favorite color is red. His lucky number is 3. Nickname: Down Payment on an Apartment.
