When Piney is in Montauk his face looks different. His eyes, which are usually wide and round,
get all soft and almond shaped.
He spent his vacation playing off leash on empty beaches,
playing fetch in the backyard,
splashing around the kiddie pool we set up on the balcony,
and lounging on the couch.
He seemed so happy! So did we. And none of us caught Lyme disease, at least not so far.

Can dogs get stressed by their environment to the point where it's expressed somatically & in behavior? Maybe Piney is not a city dog???

I am SO glad that Piney had a great vacation!! (You & Ira too of course!) The pictures are priceless & I wish there were more. I was going to say something similar to what Helen said about Piney being a country dog. He looks soooo happy and I love seeing him that way!! I hope you ALL feel rested and refreshed!
