In case you were wondering, Piney survived his weekend at day care. Here’s a little movie that Alex from D Is for D made about it, which is ridiculously cute even though it gave me a heart attack to see Piney on the sidewalk sans muzzle!!
When he got home yesterday he spent 2 hours licking my face, bringing me toys and rolling around on the floor in sheer glee. Then he slept deeply for like 5 hours then was ready to go outside and play fetch as usual.
Then today, the first really springlike day that I’ve had in NYC this year (I was in Chicago all weekend, remember), we went for a (slow, wimpy) jog and played fetch for an hour at the dog run and currently he is CONKED OUT. He’s a happy dog, for now.

awwww, I am glad he is having some good days!
He's looking great! Has he put on some weight? It looks like he had a good time while you were gone.
I'm glad to hear (and see, thanks for the link to the video) that Pineapple got along good at his home away from home. The new owner is getting on good with him then, I guess.
He seemed quite calm and relaxed on the sidewalk. It's good to have a happy dog. I hope it continues.
Such a great montage. I love that the staff at daycare doesn't seem afraid of him at all. Everyone looks very relaxed.
So happy to hear things are better! That movie is so awesome!!
